Remote work from home brings many benefits: saving time and money on commuting, managing your time more freely and being in the comfort of your home.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Remote work from home is a reality, and many people are adopting it. According to Workana, a platform for the supply and demand of jobs for freelancers, around 3 million professionals work remotely in Latin America. In fact, it is a growing trend, and it is estimated that by 2035 there will be more than a billion remote workers worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is a type of work that offers great comfort, but it also carries a lot of responsibility. It is a model that can involve many distractions, a lack of concentration and planning, and if you are not used to it, working from home can be a double-edged sword that reduces productivity and the timely delivery of results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, how can we be efficient at a distance?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  1. Get going.<\/strong> Don’t stay in your pajamas all day; shower and get ready as if you were going out. This will activate you and make your brain understand that a new workday is starting. Likewise, when you finish working, change into comfortable clothes so you move into a wind-down routine.

  2. Organize your space.<\/strong> Don’t work from bed; it is very important to set up a space for each thing. Set aside your desk and keep that space for work only, don’t use it as a dining table. Use items that let you work productively and keep everything you need on hand.

  3. Manage your time well.<\/strong> It is very important to understand that even though you are at home, you should take the same breaks and lunch time you normally would at the office. It is very common to skip this and eat lunch in front of the computer while working.
    Also try to set your working hours; don’t work too much or too little, start and finish each day at the set time.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    1. Divide your time.<\/strong> Split your tasks into 30 minutes: 25 minutes of effective work and 5 minutes of rest. This technique is called Pomodoro, and at the end of 4 sessions of 30 minutes you take a 20-minute break.

    2. Better safe than sorry.<\/strong> Keep your electronic tools in good condition at all times; have them checked regularly by a technician to prevent damage that arises out of nowhere and affects your work.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n
