
Crestron has brought to life its new award-winning Zūm™ wireless lighting control platform, which is based on the DALI® network protocol and also features luminaire and device monitoring along with configurable programming.

Benefits of the Zūm improvements: Asset tracking:
1.Managers can now natively track building assets from a networked Zūm system, including medical equipment, maintenance and facilities equipment, audiovisual and IT equipment, as well as staff and visitors.
2.Real-time location can now be monitored through the Zūm Hub, which now also supports data collection for cloud-based reporting and management.
3.Configurable programming: Zūm now provides more programming flexibility along with support for more advanced programming of the Zūm keypads. In addition, Zūm can now interact with third-party devices through an RS-232 bridge.
4.DALI control: A new single-loop wireless DALI controller interacts with the complete Zūm architecture and the headend network and works with the award-winning Crestron SolarSync™ automatic daylight and color-temperature sensor. Zūm is a simple wireless lighting control system
5.Each device is carefully designed to work together seamlessly. Setup is as easy as “pair and play” with a tap of the dimmer or the keypad, or from the iPhone® or Android™ app. Even better, Zūm is affordable and highly scalable. Start with one space or several. You can even add centralized network management.

All the essential devices (wireless dimmers, switches, sensors, etc.) needed for dimming and automation are carefully designed to work together wirelessly. Setup only requires a few taps on a keypad, dimmer, or mobile app. Going from standalone systems to centralized building-wide control and network management is, literally, child’s play. The Zūm Network Bridge simply snaps onto the Zūm Load Controller to add remote configuration, daylight harvesting, time-clock scheduling, temporary overrides, and other advanced capabilities.
Easy to design
With just a few devices, Zūm gives lighting designers everything they need for complete lighting control in almost any space. A single load controller can support up to 32 devices. Each device has a wireless communication range of 50 meters in all directions. Communication hops from one device to another to create a mesh network of up to 200,000 square meters. There is no need
for interface boxes or exposed antennas hanging from the ceiling. Centralized building-wide lighting control can be implemented using the same devices as standalone systems.
Easy to configure
All Zūm devices offer standard mounting and consist of: four load controllers (0-10V, relay, plug load, and universal phase) that allow all devices in the system to communicate with each other; wall-box dimmer and wireless keypads; battery-powered keypads that can be placed anywhere, even on glass or brick; occupancy sensors for automation and data collection; and a daylight sensor. The Network Bridge simply snaps onto the Load Controller already installed in spaces throughout the building to enable remote Bluetooth® configuration from the iPhone app. The network bridge pairs with the Zūm hub to communicate wirelessly with Crestron’s traditional centralized lighting, AV, shade, and HVAC control systems for a complete enterprise solution.
Easy to manage
The Zūm Network Bridge enables remote management, including time-clock scheduling, running temporary overrides, daylight harvesting, and turning the entire building on and off. Direct communication with Zūm. Centralized cloud network service management. For example, easily identify all empty rooms with the lights on, and then all those lights can be turned off remotely. Zūm Cloud also provides instant alert notifications for remote support, as well as room-usage data collection and reporting to reduce energy consumption, justify budgets, and drive future planning.
