What Is a Video Wall?
In simple terms, a video wall is a set of monitors that work in sync to display content and, in this way, simulate one large screen. The number of screens installed will depend, of course, on the space where they are located and the use they will be given, but there are usually between 2 and 16 and they can be arranged in different ways, not necessarily in a rectangular shape.
A video wall installation can use LCD or LED screens and generates a greater visual impact than usual, because it allows interactivity, versatility and more efficient message delivery, in addition to being easy to operate and an ideal option when you need to display content on a large scale. How Is a Video Wall Installation Done?
A video wall installation can be of two types:
–Symmetrical: when monitors of the same size are used in the same position, whether vertical or horizontal. It is ideal for viewing any type of content without it becoming distorted.
–Asymmetrical: with several screens a custom design is created, and it is normally done for advertising purposes, since it generates more visual impact.
It is also carried out by following these steps:
-First, you must think of a design that adapts properly to the space.
-Acquire the number of screens needed with their respective mounts.
-Calculate the dimensions of the monitors on the wall and mark them.
-Place the monitors face down and attach the mounts to each one; also attach the wall mounts.
-Make the necessary adjustments to the space.
-Turn on the screen
–Calibrate, and that’s it.
