Crestron Distributor Colombia

Crestron is a US manufacturer of control and automation systems. In Colombia, Integración AV is a Crestron distributor and designs, installs, and programs Crestron systems for boardrooms, video conferencing, auditoriums, classrooms, control centers, and homes. Our director, Juan Carlos Gutiérrez, holds Crestron Master Gold certification.

In short

  • A Crestron system coordinates audio, video, lighting, shades, and climate so a space is operated from a single panel.
  • We integrate it in corporate, educational, control center, and residential projects, based in Bogotá.
  • Programming is done by a Crestron Master Gold-certified team working as a Crestron Service Provider (CSP).
  • Crestron Latin America published our project at Universidad Javeriana’s Jorge Hoyos Building as a success story.

This page explains what Crestron does, which spaces we use it in, and what a project with us looks like. If you need to program or reprogram a system you already have, the Crestron and AMX programming service details the scope, process, and frequently asked questions.

What Crestron is and what it controls

Crestron makes control processors, touch panels, video switching and distribution equipment, wireless presentation systems, lighting control, and software to manage networked rooms. Each device does its own job, but what clients look for in Crestron is that everything responds to a single control logic.

In practice, the system receives a simple command, such as “start meeting” or “presentation mode,” and translates it into dozens of actions: turning on the screen, selecting the source, adjusting the volume, lowering the shades, and dimming the light. The user sees a panel with a few buttons; the complexity stays in the programming.

Room Control

A panel on the table or wall turns on the room, selects the source, adjusts the volume, and starts the video call.

Space Automation

Lighting, shades, and climate respond to schedules, occupancy, and programmed scenes.

Networked Management

Processors connect to the organization's network to oversee many rooms and provide remote support.

Crestron also integrates with equipment from other brands. In our projects it controls audio processors, PTZ cameras, projectors, interactive monitors, and video conferencing systems that aren’t Crestron, as long as they have a documented control protocol.

Definition

A Crestron system is the layer that coordinates a space’s equipment: each device stays its own brand, but all of them are operated with a single logic and a single interface.

Where we integrate Crestron

These are the spaces where Crestron shows up most often in our projects. Each has its own page with the solution’s detail.

Boardrooms

One touch turns on the room, adjusts the light, and opens the meeting. See smart boardrooms.

Video Conferencing

Camera, microphones, and screen in a single flow, with the company’s meeting platform. See Crestron video conferencing.

Auditoriums and Classrooms

Projection, audio, lighting, and recording controlled from one panel. See auditoriums.

Control Centers

Sources, video wall, and audio run from one console, 24/7. See monitoring centers.

Room Booking

Entry screens connected to the company’s calendar. See room booking.

Home Automation

Lights, shades, climate, audio, and video for the home on one panel. See home automation in Bogotá and Medellín.

What changes from one space to another isn’t the brand but what the system needs to solve. The table summarizes the differences between the three most common space types in our projects.

Why work on your Crestron project with Integración AV

We are an AV integrator based in Bogotá with projects since 2006. Juan Carlos Gutiérrez, our General Manager, holds Crestron Master Gold certification (after previously earning Silver level) and AVIXA’s CTS, and Integración AV works as a Crestron Service Provider (CSP).

That background matters most in programming, which is what makes a room easy or hard to use. In 2025 we received the AV Awards Americas for Project of the Year in Learning Environments.

Key idea

The equipment’s brand doesn’t decide whether a room works well; how the system was designed and programmed does.

Case: Jorge Hoyos Building, Pontificia Universidad Javeriana

The Jorge Hoyos S.J. Building, on Bogotá’s Carrera Séptima, needed automation and control across every space: MBA classrooms, an auditorium, a collaborative classroom, classrooms, meeting rooms, a board room, the Rector’s office, and common areas. Integración AV carried it out in partnership with dB Systems, over 75 days.

The Crestron processors were connected to the university’s network, built for centralized management with Crestron Fusion. The system also integrates equipment from other brands: audio processors, PTZ cameras, video conferencing, interactive monitors, and edge-blended projection on a custom 418-inch screen. Juan Carlos Gutiérrez designed and programmed the system.

The building opened in mid-2016, and Crestron Latin America published it as a success story. You can read the full case in PDF.

The relationship with Javeriana continued afterward. At its Simulation Center, the project that received the AV Awards Americas 2025, Crestron is one of the brands integrated alongside AREC, Shure, Epson, and Netgear. Our published projects are in success stories.

Crestron programming: the service

Programming is the part of the project the user doesn’t see and the one that shows up most in daily use. We program one-touch scenes, the integration of audio, video, and lighting, automatic shutdown for energy savings, and control interfaces built for whoever uses the room, not the technician.

If you’re looking for Crestron programmers for a new system or to reprogram one you already have, the Crestron and AMX programming service explains what’s included and how we work. When an existing system has equipment in good condition, we reuse it: sustainability starts with not replacing what still works.

Request a Technical Review

What a Crestron project with us looks like

  1. AssessmentWe visit the space, understand how it’s used, and review the equipment already there.
  2. DesignWe define the system in drawings and diagrams with our audiovisual systems design service, including the control logic.
  3. Supply and installationWe install the equipment, cabling, and racks, and integrate them with the client’s network and infrastructure.
  4. Programming and commissioningWe load the programming and test every scene on-site, with the space’s actual use.
  5. Training and supportWe train users on handover day and follow up with preventive maintenance and support.

Crestron in other cities in Colombia

Our office is in Bogotá and we have an office in Medellín. In the rest of the country we take on projects with our own technicians traveling from Bogotá or with local technical partners; we only take on residential projects in Bogotá and Medellín.

We have detailed pages for Crestron in Barranquilla, Crestron in Cali, and Crestron in Cartagena. For other cities, coverage is confirmed in the first consultation based on the project’s scope and location.

Frequently Asked Questions About Crestron in Colombia

Is Integración AV a Crestron distributor?

Yes. We are a Crestron distributor in Colombia and, as integrators, we design the system, include the Crestron equipment the project needs in the proposal, install it, program it, and provide support. Our director, Juan Carlos Gutiérrez, is Crestron Master Gold, and the company works as a Crestron Service Provider (CSP).

Installation gets the equipment mounted and connected; programming defines what each button does and how everything coordinates. A well-installed but poorly programmed system is still hard to use, which is why both parts are part of the same project.

Yes. In our projects, Crestron controls audio processors, cameras, projectors, monitors, and video conferencing systems from other brands, as long as they have a documented control protocol. That compatibility is checked during the assessment.

Yes. We check the equipment’s and the programming’s condition, reprogram what doesn’t match the space’s actual use, and reuse equipment still in good condition.

We don’t publish prices because every project is quoted based on its scope. The cost depends on the number of spaces, the equipment integrated, the complexity of the programming, and whether it starts from scratch or from an existing system.

Let's Talk About Your Crestron Project

The first conversation is a technical consultation: we review the space, the equipment you already have, and what you need the system to do. From there we prepare a proposal with scope, equipment, and schedule.
